1.2 16v tick tick tick cure

sorry people, i aint got a cure lol, just wonderin if anyone has any ideas for it? Any of these engine treatments any good for shutting up the sh*tty noise???? Normally i wouldnt bother, but its having one of those days of getting on my tits!!!

that tic tic tic is just the standard engine noise...the valves / cams ticking i think?

for some reason Magnatec doesnt seem to agree with Clio engines........it made my RT very tappety and has done the same to a lot of people on here

yea it is a standard engine noise.......but how sh*te is it!! it jut bugs me more some days lol! with it being 18k between services, id guess the oil used will be to the same standard as magnatec?

I havnt noticed . Mine has just been involved in a accident , will post pics soon, all body damage so should be fine.

solution is just put the smallest loudest back box on u can find.. or get a few subs in the boot! sorted!!!

.....its is true tho, wi it bein a high pitched sound, as long as u have the stereo on - even at low volume - its sorted! Just if u drive wi no music on, it bugs ya! Cheap french crap lol

normally just a noise characteristic of the engine although it does depend on how loud it is.

1.2s always sound shi*t at the front...Just a fact of life really. Reno suggest Elf oil always, so thats what i use

mine ticks away, and its a 1.2 16v too....it gets worse when you hold the clutch in and rev it...



Get a louder stereo, or think about it, a tapping tappet, is a happy tappet

Have a XR2i, now they take...like mine did..

to be honest mine doesnt really bother me... id rather hear the good old renault engine tapping away and be safe in the knowledge that its actually working than be like my brother and have a blown headgasket
