1.2 8v engine problems :s..

got a 1.2 mk2 phase one nothing fancy like u lot but it was sweet as running till about a week ago the tappets started getting loud, and it also feels like iv lost power in accleration and setting off takes more effort :s any ideas what it could be? would it be tappet related annoying as only had the car 2 weeks and was rather nippy at first ..any help apreciated

well have you been drivin it hard and when was the oil changed last?

it missifre at all?
tappet may have come loose or maybe even just want adjusting

drive hard at times not alot though hadnt had it long, never missfired to my knowledge, am i looking at a cheep fix, how would driving hard have made this happen if thats the case?

if the oil aint been changed it could v worn the tappets down at high revs coz the oil is too thick do u high rev when its cold ever?

no not really let it warm up before i drive mad if i ever do which aint much.. aslong as can be fixed its ok hope wont cost much :S aint got much more than 100 to spend
