1.2 E-Type Ignition problem.

OK this problem is really starting to annoy me. I've had a car in the garage for over 2 weeks now I can't find out the problem

Got a 1.2 E-type engine here. it wont fire. No ignition(of fuel) at all.

Checked the timing. (Crank pulley is set to the TDC Marking. Fly wheel is at TDC and cam is at the TDC Marking).

Fuel is getting to the cylinders

Every Plug is getting a spark at the right time.

The HT Leads are in the right order for the engine 1 - 3- 4 - 2

Not getting nothing from the engine when I turn it over not even a splutter

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeeeee Help :(

not just flooding?

how do you know fuel is getting to the cylinders
how do you know its firing the spark at the right time??
could be not enough fuel (had that before) clamp the return on the regulatoor off

enough compression?

I think it might be flooded now but I took the sparks out and cleaned them all and turned it over a couple of times with out the fuel line on to clean it out.

When i removed the spark plugs fuels spits out at me.

I removed the Plugs and turned the engine over. Every time Cam hits TDC cylinder 1 Sparks and so on in order 3- 4 - 2.

I did a compression test after I changed the head gasket. I can't remember what it was now think it was 120 but might of been higher.

I feed it some fuel direct into the throttle body. (I'm not 100% but it might of worked a little bit better)

Just did another compression tests

1 - 110 PSI
2 - 109 PSI
3 - 130 PSI
4 - 110 PSI

also changed the spark plugs

So the 3 - 4 Main things that make an engine work is there. So I'm confused why it isn't working.

Seems like I'm talking to my self :(
What about the electrical system what parts of that would stop it starting. I've checked the wires going into the throttle body

Yep same one. Came in 25th of novemeber as a runner with years mot from private sale.

Its been in for ages.
At least 2 hours of work wasted on it every day. I've had 2 other trained mechanics have a check of it..
Only other thing I can think of is to much fuel to air mixture. But saying that I removed the fuel line and feed it down its throat with not a hell of a lot of fuel and still nothing.

Any one want £30 for coming round and telling me what's wrong. I'll sort it when I know what's wrong but its finding the problem I'm finding hard :(
