1.2 exhaust question

i had my car back yesterday, after a accident, but my exhaust now sounds like a chicken chaser i may need a whole new exhaust system as the garage say thats its blowingfrom the by the manifold.

Just wondered is it worth having a full system on a 1.2 (if applicable)
