1.2 grande speedo fault

i have a fault on a 1.2 grande, the speedo isnt working and isnt recording miles, have changed the sensor on the gearbox and it didnt make a difference

with the car jacked up and running in gear the speedo drive does turn and it still doesnt work.

has anyone else had this problem or any suggestions?

mkII has this problem intermittantly on a grande. But he has the ABS option on his so the speedo takes a reading from the rear ABS sensor IIRC. It's also stopping his abs from working.

This grande got ABS? and is it working properly?

No ABS on this car.

ok, i have eliminated the problem down to the wiring to the speedo or the speedo clocks themselves, all connections to the ecu etc are all fine

has many ppl had this fault with 1.2 grande's???
