I have 98 mk2 ph1 1.2 RN. If i wanna make it sound better with an induction kit how much would it affect insurance. Is it like 100 quid or smthing rediculous like that. I no it will reduce power but would like to buy cheapo halfords one. xx
Nah they sound alright the ones from Halfords, lad on here stuck one on his 182, supposed to have sounded quality, also hear one on a Valver, again sounded nice... may bump the price (insurance) by 30 notes or so at a guess (dont bother telling them imo)
More expensive kits arnt any better really Karl, you pay a big price just for brand name, but i have got a thing for pipercross, but use ITG personally..
keep an eye out on ebay. I got a brand new pipercross for mine for £15!!! Only got it for a laugh to see how it sounds/affects performance, seen as though it was so cheap. Gonna fit it as soon as I get a socket that undoes the retaining bolts on the standard airbox. Bloody stupid 6 spoke star shaped bolt. Thought I had the socket in my tool box but it's a different shape...Renault and all there different torx screws and sockets!
just free up the standard airbox from restrictions and reroute the airfeeds, even thatll give you a bit of an induction roar and slightly free up acceleration! You dont have to tell the insurance company either!
