hey , im not asking if the above is a good idea etc i would just like to know first of all is this conversion pretty much a straight swap , out with the old , in with the new ? and also how much would you be looking at on parts , and maybe if someones that clever ...what parts ?
I had a K4M (1.6 16v) engine and gearbox for my old 1.2 16v when i blew it up, but its the same hastle as a 172 conversion and i needed the car back on the road ASAP so i went for another 1.2 16v lump.
if your spending the cash and going through the hastle your better doing a 2.0 16v conversion for an extra 70bhp!
