1.4 RT '99 Won't start, Then just cuts out while driving..

Hey guys,

My girlfriend has just purchased a '99 1,4 RT.. It's only on 64k, and has had belts done etc.

This morning it completely conked out on her and refused to start, Hitting the fuel reset button has got it going, then it just randomly cuts out while driving and refuses to start..

Ignition / Battery issue? Or immob problem?

It is turning over by the way, Just not firing, Starter motor sounds totally fine.

It fired up again, Kicked out a lot of black smoke and then got 1/2 mile and went again.

Could this be a Crank sensor or CTS problem?
