1.4 Rt Lowering

  1.8 8v RSi
Does anyone know how much it will cost to lower the rear torsion bar on the
mk1, phase 1, clio RT? i've been told its quite an expensive job and could cause problems if i don't get an uprated damper kit for it. also i want it to be lowered 55mm on 195/45/15 and ive been told that will cause the wseels to rub the arche metal and the plastic lineing.
in other words...
how much would it cost roughly?
would I need new dampers?
what would i need to do to counter any arch problems?

You should chnage dampers to ensure a decinet ride.

Time to take difficult to say if its ok half and hour if its rusted up then err 3 hours.

To counter arch problem depends how bad it is you shouldn't have any issues if the wheels are of a decinet offset.

Cost depends some garages would do it for a fixed cost other chrage per hour as they know it will be rusted up.

well the cars been looked after quite well and cleaned underneath a few times in its life.... so im hoping it wont be too bad rust wise. thing is im on a bit of a budget so can only afford half the job till next pay day, so im taking the car off the road till i can do both parts(will look a bit crap with it arse down nose up)
