Focus RS + S3
Was driving my van yesterday and the coil light with the electrical fault one together came on and as i drove on the engine started knocking with it mainly noticeable on idle and its what i call a diesel knock lol
i cleaned the egr out as i had the airbox out,i made sure the fuel lines and all injectors were getting fuel, but then had a friend to rev the van while i looked at the one injector and it was bubbling air in the diesel that i spilled around the neck of the injector,
So i disconnected that injector, then fired the engine up and it ran with no knocks so im pretty sure that ones at fault,
This is where my knowledge of diesel runs out lol
does that mean that cylinder is getting too much fuel?
And does it sound like a new injector jobbie or is there something else like a copper washer missing?
Another question if (and i hope not) i need a new injector i see they have to be coded and what not? Would i be able to match the numbers on mine to a second hand one and just plug and play?
