1.6l 16v ??

  Integra Type-R DC2
Not a huge difference between the 1.4 and the 1.6 performance wise, so no-one really bothered becasue it saved a bit of cash.

  Shed.
werent too many produced. if you look youll find. but the meer fact that the 1.2 16v clios are so common make the 1.6 look like rocking horse s**t.

people who want a clio generally want an economical one to go to the shops etc so just go for the basic 1.2 16v or dci (plus most young people want cheap insurance so 1.2 16v is perfect)

for the others that fancy a fast clio they bought a 172/182.

I love the car. My mk1 blew up and i needed a car quick, was looking at 1.2 16vs but ended up getting a 1.6 somehow. Its not epicly fast but its nippy, cruises fine on the mway

As with Gaz, I love mine. Its my first car and I find it nippy enough and handles pretty well. I couldn't afford the insurance on a 1*2, and I wanted something bigger than a 1.2.

There were more 172 made that 1.6 over the same time period.

Problem was they were to expensive and not powerful enough needed a detuned 2.0 IMO to have sold better but even then it the wrong car for the market IMO.
