  Valver
29K

Only use Renault filters, 5w40 fully synth oil and avoid magnatec, probably don't have to touch the leads but NGK plugs are fine, not too sure on engine flush, some people think it does more harm than good but if anything id only use Forte engine stuff. Again gear oil probably doesnt need touching either.

As sami says - don't put castrol gtx magnatec in it. Valvers hate it if you do use it your car will sound like a tractor, worst oil i'v ever used.

Or alternatively you could get a specialist to do it for you if you don't wanna get your hands dirty (like me sometimes)

ok, well like i said it wast too well maintained before, leads dont look terrible but plugs look fucked lol, and i might just change gear oil for the sake of it, even tho its only done 29k its been around since 1994 so has sat for a long time of its life, i dont have a manual so how much oil should i put in ?? i dont want the engine to start tapping, so i no to stear clear or gtx, what about elf oil or mobile 1 ??

Depends what you intedn to do with the car for road use I'd use Elf Pro silkine in 5-40 spec. For race or track days I'd use the Millers 5-40.
Plugs, filters and leads stock are the best. You will find out what a pain chnaging the filter is so if you want to spend some £££ you can get remove ones but for the cost just cut your hand instead when changing it.

Gear oil Royal purple the best but pricy I use the Millers 75/90 and its fine still thats 40.

Gearbox needs 3.5 liters

Engine fill it so its on the top of the dipstick they like to burn/drip oil so keep it topped of all the time (they are 15 years old so only reasonable).

Forget the engine flush. Change the oil ever 3k or so idealy or ever few months whichevers sooner.

I'd change the cam and aux belts personaly (specilats job realy but worth it)

The proble is all the adds up and for the cost of a new engine many woulnd't bother or would do a 2.0 transplant firstly.
