1.8 16v to 172?



  1.8 16v, Iceberg ph1 172
Hi, returning after a long absence. I have a valver on 103K with a few rust issues and have been thinking of getting a ph1 172, any advice. will miss the valver tho. Dom

hi mate, i miss my valver.....gotta 172 cup at the moment love it reminds me oh my 16v just more reliable and quicker.

I hope Im not dissapointed, i did a search and a few people werent that complementary of the 172. Is it pre mar 01 that is lower tax?

Will a standard 172 feel much different/quicker than my standard valver?

They are a lot quicker than a std valver yes mate.

I've owned pretty much all of the Renaults but the mk1 is the best to drive.
 
  RB 182 Cup
i went from a 16v to a 182 cup, and the change is very noticeable. IMO the 182 feels faster in a straight line and grippier in the twisties (and the valver was lowered).
