last car i owned was aa punto hgt 130bhp use to f**king boot that ever were...till the cam belt whent...thats why im so if when it comes to booting the cup..
No offence intended matey, but that would have probably been either because there was something worn, or the belt was overdue a change, not from reving the engine.
Mine is on 137k now, and running throttle bodies, and it gets looked after well, but also driven hard and its fine, as Fred has said the average chip will raise the limiter to circa 7800 anyway, not that you need to rev it ti that, but they will cope with 7000 rpm all day long.
