Finally I can pick up my brand new 182 tomorrow morning!!

Cant wait to run off the first 725 miles, a quick trip to Birghton and Manchester should put a serious dent in that...

Also are the memberships available again?

Hopefully see you at a meet in the Berks \ West London area soon

dont bother, take it easy for the first 50miles

remember you want high load and low rpm to give the rings a good seal

so 3rd gear from 20mph and floor it

let loose on it,

remember we arent dealing with ford anglias here, these are modern 2005 engines with nigh on perferct bores

Whats the best way to drive for the first few hundred miles in a new car then? As Ill be ordering a new 182 soon, and would kinda like to know.

There are many views on this. Basically vary the revs and the load on the engine. Im still not fully converted to the "give it death off the forecourt" way of thinking, but i wouldnt keep the car at low revs for the first 700 miles either.

Well, I presume the engine is still tight when you get the car, so I presume to start of carefully for 50 miles, then gradually work up the load and the revs over the next 200 miles?

Ive always been concerned that if you are careful with a new engine, parts dont seat quite as well as if you gave it a little bit of stick, and perhaps wouldnt go as well when worn in?!?!?

Im not sure the best way to drive it yet, but Im trying (very hard) to be sensible!!

Loving it so far, makes a great noise.

Glad youre enjoying it - what colour did you go for? Both cup packs? I dont know anyone on here that didnt at least get the spoiler pack.

I got it in black, thought it set of the wheels better then any other colour.

Also went with both cup packs, think I made the right choice to buy this and not the CTR
