10w 40 semi synthetic ok?

I wouldnt recommend it, always use 5w-40 fully synthetic oil

what happens if you mix 10w 40 with 5w 40 ?

like e.g i dont know wahts in mine atm, as i didnt have it on last service, so just wondered if it would be ok if i put some 5w 40 in mine if it had 10w 40?

or visa versa

It wont kill it but 5w40 is better, topping up with 10w40 wont make much difference to be fair.... if its a high milage one it might even be better running it on 10 as its a but thicker

10W40 semi is fine, its not going to blow the engine up

I love Fred's if it doesn't come off you need a bigger hammer approach to mechanicing! As said it'll be 100% fine!

As above, it'll be fine. If its oily, stick it in.
