  Volvo S60 T5

Well Chuffed with my results.

0-60 ---------- 5.89

1/4 mile ---------- 14.88

Out of over 160 cars on the spint I manages to be 11th:D

anyone remember last year at Donnysouth? 6.69 well after sorting me car out and getting it all sorted Im finally happy with it.

But I want more, any ideas?

All the work I have done to it, ported head, cams, viper, de-cat, exhaust and Nitrous Oxide and a custom mapping from GDI seems to have done the trick.

I knew you had NOS...but I guessed there was a bit more to it than that! Looks like it was all worth it! :)

Dont forget mine is full fat, with loads of extra weight in it from the ICE install and so on.

Wonder if it would be much better stripped out?

I would certaintly try it as the 1/4 mile time would as KDF shows suggest a bog std 172, yet the 0-60 time is more in keeping with the engine mods

Including the wife? Mike makes a habit of stripping his car to the bare metal, then leaving JoJo in! LOL! Though she probably weighs next to nothing anyway!

If you want to sort out your sprint times Mike, heres a few ideas:

Run coilovers. Drop the front fairly close to the ground and the back right up in the air. Rear dampers set rock hard, fronts fairly soft. You need to run nose down to minimise squat when you launch.

Put a set of drag radials on or high profile bald road tyres on, around 20psi pressure. Low profile track slicks or tarmac rally tyres are not really any good for straight line launches because the side walls are far too stiff.

Take everything out apart from what you need to actually drive the car. Stage 1 is back seats/parcel shelf, stage 2 is to also ditch the carpets, passenger seat and interior trim/panels, stage 3 all you have is a gearstick, seat and steering wheel!

A cerametallic paddle clutch will handle any amount of standing starts. A standard or even uprated organic clutch will not.

Smaller than standard wheels, as long as you can get them over your brakes.

Well it wouldnt be that bad - you could do all of that stuff and still have a streetable car - bring a jack with you so you can adjust your coilovers back to normal for the ride home, I just sold a pair of road-legal drag tyres which can be had in 205/50/15 so all youd need for that would be a compressor to get the right tyre pressures.
