13"s over 1.2 brakes..

14" is smallest IIRC, you can get 13's on if you use different brake carriers apparently....not too sure though

My mk2 ph1 came with 13" steelies as standard.... if all the 1.2s came with the same brake setup then they should fit.

they defintaley dont fit my mk2 ph 2, so wouldnt have thought they would on mk2 ph1

they do fit on the back though

you could do what those crazy old mini owners do, they put smaller brakes on so they can get 10 inch wheels on

Cheers.
My colour code is ov727. You'll find your code on the oval plate on your drivers door pillar. The paint code is one up from the bottom left corner.

I thought all 1.2 8v and 1.4 8v cars had 13" steel wheels as standard and the 16v versions came with 14" alloy wheels.

Lol. Wasn't the fella selling it you that said that was it?
Nah it's not quite the same as a trophy - although i do like to pretend that it is!.
Not sure what the trophy paint code is.

Not sure about that. I've seen a lot more ph1 1.2 (which were mostly 8v) with 14" steelies than 13"s

actually it might be a little high, diesel clio is group 5 though.
maybe the fact that its a 'sport' adds lots on

That's very high. A 1.6 16v Rsi is group 10.

According to parkers the 8v RNs, RTs and Grandes ('00 onwards) have 14s.
I've certainly seen more 14"s around.

Possibley to do with the brakes though as I'm sure there are a few different brake manufacturers used. My brakes are by Sachs but the Haynes manual states two other ones. Cant remember what they are off the top of my head.

It may help if the original poster could identify which model he has? Or he could just get a set of each and try ;)
