15" or 16"

  Nissan 370Z
Just wondered..

What are the advantages/disadvantages of having say 15" over 16"

I know the obvious like tyre prices are cheaper on 15's etc..

Thanks

15's will allow quicker acceleration, and lower the center of gravity of the car a little bit.

16's higher top speed and errmmmm i don't know

I kind of had the idea that I liked the handling more when I had 15" on the car, although I didn't have a good set of tires on to actually push the car like I would on the 16" with T1R's (in the dry).

Not that much in it for me really, pretty sure 16" Turini's weight around the same if not less than 15" OZ F1's etc.

Theres a thread at the end of page 1 in the media section.

I was in the same boat. I was unsure how small they would look on a ph2.

When it was standard height, my Cup looked silly on 15s.

Now it is on coilovers, it looks fine.

£126 for 4 15" tyres delivered! Thats what did it for me.

15" looks fine on ph2's as long as its lowered more than 40mm.
cheaper tyres too. not really many advantages tbh. cheaper, lighter.

i would like some 15" wheels but my car is on sportlines not coilovers. 15's look great on apex but i wouldn't really want apex springs again.

Hard to describe, it just feels more secure on 16", more planted.

I had traction issues on my 15's. Used to cut the TC in, even in the dry. Bit weird.

I loved my 172 on 15's though. Made it even rawer.
