16mm hubcentric spacer issues

Hi I have bought 16mm hubcentric wheel spacers with longer bolts. The company sent me 45mm long bolts and they are too long to tighten. What length should they have sent me? Thanks.

cross threaded them?

you can fit much much longer bolts as the hols go right through the hubs, but what happens is the wheels wont turn as the bolts foul on the hub.

so 45mm should wind all the way in easily

Mine had a lot of rust/road dirt on the inner side of the thread on the hub.

Run a tap through the holes.
