16v Brakes

Have just bought a 93 valver and am looking to increase its stopping potential as its all standard at the mo.

Was hoping no to have to spend too much, hence thought EBC Greenstuff pads all round may be the best way to start out??

What have you guys done to uprate your brakes and how did the results comapre to the hard earned £££ you forked out?

Any help/advice would be great!!!

i was using standard discs and pads on my 93 valver which i was happy with in terms of power but once (once is enough) i suffered bad brake fade when racing, when the old pads wore out i replaced them with Black diamond predators pads, these are not such a nice fit as the OE pads so they tend to squeek a little, but aoart from that they dont seem much differnt, its difficult to compare though, i know the pads are cross matched with a 205 1.9 if that offeres you more choice,

not from personal experience but i have heard alot of bad reviews on green stuff pads

Benr is the man to ask

a change of fluid can dramaticaly improve the feel of your brakes if its not been done for a while, but to significantly increase power you would need to spend alot

Joel,

I love my EBCs!

A lot of people dont seem to get on with them on this forum but ive no real problems with mine!

Cheap too.

Im running turbo groove discs and greenstuff pads all round.

Mat.

I had to change my pads and discs on my car so i decided to get some big brakes from K-Tec Racing and they work LIKE A DREAM. Now these brakes have saved me loads of times since I ve had them, they make you feel very confident with your car. Recommemded if you are willing to pay around $270.

Ive got green stuff pads all round, and Ive just got myself a set of platinum discs out of Maxpower for £124 and Im pretty impressed.
