16v gearbox help please

the engine my 16v clio seized up whilst in motion at 70mph, when the engine was removed and gearbox seperated the clutch was fie purchased a new engine and fitted the box to it now i have endless problems with the car eating clutches, not burning them out but physcally snapping them in two.

Could the gearbox of been damaged during the process of the engine seizing up.

The car was full with 3 in back doing 70mph in fourth gear the wheels locked up therefore putting all the torque and weight of the car through the gearbox.

Impossibel to say what it is.

Whats snapping the plate or the cover?

the gearbox looks fine it is snapping the clutches twisting the middles out, the flywheel is fine

is the box mating flush with the block? Sounds like the angle the input shaft is sitting at is causing strain on the clutch.

Unless your running 500bhp of course.

the box sits flush taking it to a gearbox place down the road from me
