16v ready to race!

I am at last finnished with my 16v 2.0. Car feels great to drive. I fittet a willy ECU on friday together with a Prima chip. It runs very smooth an strong. I drove it for a few days on the 1.8 ECU and it had a rough idle and not so strong. I also moved the steringwheel 60mm outwards, it feels very nice to have the wheel closer.

But the hotest mod I did today. Put on a couple of truckers flags to so I will be able to lett people know where I am from when they see the Clio in the mirror at the Nürburgring.;) PS: I know it aint pretty...

:D....Way to go!!!!!! 2,0L or 2,0L++++ is the way to go... Pulls all the way! No need to wait for the magic 4500 rpm, even though I must admit that it is a special feeling when the valver revs like mad!!!! :devilish:

Like your steering wheel thing!!! (got the OMP thing myself!)

Once used a 2,0L Prima chip.... did not work very well.. sadly!!! But it sure looks like it works with you..... Must have been me!?

Michael

I have no idea what kind ow prima chip it is. Seems to work Ok. I also have the original Willy chip. But since the Prima works fine, I will try it for now. Yes, the 2.0 realy pulls strong and nicely a little earlier.

But mabye its time to save upp for some Throttle Bodies this winter? Too much, is never enough :D

hehe u dont look very old in the pics mate u need to eat your greens !

hehe only joking mate, nice job on the conversion good luck @ the race track !!

Since the Clio be driven up/down this trip, I wont have eny space for beer! :( The Formula R tiers will take up all the "beer storage"..

lol.....the things we do for speed!

mind you, you cant drink and drive round the ring so you really dont need to carry 80 bottles of booze!

did u notice much of a difference? Gettin a 2 litre in mine soon. Just hope its worth it!
Of course it is a bit of a difference. But its not like WOW, this car goes. But it does feel a lot stronger. If its worth it when you have a good running 1.8, I am not sure. It will always be a clio.. My engine was broken in the first place.

But if your car means a lot to you, and you want it to be faster, then it is the way to go.

I have spray jets on both the 16v and 172. Most cars upp here come with seatheating, mirror heating, spray jets and bigger generator (winter pack).

The generator in my 16v is a 110amp. Is that standrard in the UK also?
