17 inch wheels and lowered

heya guys im fed up of my standard wheels now lol so ive decided as my car is slow anyway i may aswell make it look nice so how much could i lower my car on 17 inch wheels with 205-40-17 tyres? without having rubing problems?

i dont carry rear seat passengers

Go for some 15's with a gooood drop

mines lowered 40/60 on 17's and it scrubs horribly in carparks, ppl stare on full lock LOL! also handles awful in comparison, tbh gonna get some 16's with the student loan. u may get away with a 40 drop. looks mint if your into big wheels tho

i love 16s i just think ppl want to much for them second hand , id like a set of white multispoke lol but like £450 second hand is way to much

I have my car lowered 40mm on 17's.... i have a sound system thats quite heavy and had 3 people in the back each about 9 - 11 stone and has never rubed

What springs did you have? im the same as you have a system and normally have people in the back

mine is lowered 50mm on 17s and it doesnt rub, even on full lock or with 4 people in the car over speed bumps

my old one had 18's, lowered the back 110m front 60, and no probs.
