17 Inch Wheels With 195 Tyres

Ok i might be gettin some new wheels and think some nice chrome 17s would look awesome BUT...

i had 17s on before and they were too wide and smash my rear archs

at the mo i have 195/45/16, can i get some 195/40/17 tyres for the 17s and will this save my archs?

yea pirelli do that size, its what im wanting, it works out 3mm taller than standard valver size!

Pirelli P-Zeros which are meant to be crap but there the only ones i can find and there £80 odd each

another option for you

if you know someone with a Corsa/Nova on 17s try one of there wheels on the rear of yours they run a offset of ET47-49 (which brings the wheel into the car further hence avoiding the tyre hitting the outer arch) it may hit the inside of the arch, but this is easier to fix, just add spacers
