17"'s on Mk1

Car  Clio Mk1
I have a set of 17"'s and want to put them on my Mk1, I have been told it can be done as they came off a mk1, but I need to modify the wheel arches and was wondering if anyone has any info. on this, like where can i get it done, I have also been told if you do this, it will fail an MOT.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Im from glasgow m8, what exactly is rolling the arches? :quiet:

I suppose I should take it to an alloy wheel company/specialist? any idea how much it would cost?

Cheers.

any decent alloy wheel place sould do it. its basicall a tool that bolts to the hub, and has rollers on it and basically rolls the arch back. thats as simple as it gets. you may need to seal/paint under the arch after to stop rust, but depending if it needs it, ie bare paint. should be around 50 quid. is down here.
but as i said earlier, if its a 16v, mk1, you don't need to
