Less Money in Your Wallet when you Buy Tyres LOL
I'm unsure exactly ho much it will affect everything but I presume slower 0-60, Your Cup Suspension will kinda be wasted I would have thought,
My Sister had 17"s on her Corsa and I had 15"s on my Corsa and I creamed her round any Twisties and Mine was a 1.2 to her 1.4
Not sure how relevant that is but just my thoughts

I don't see how 17" rims can make an RS Clio into a blamonge as some people like to state.
Bigger wheels can have some advantages i.e rolling radius is greater so a higher top end can be achieved at the cost of acceleration. MPG is also slightly improved.
It's horses for courses to be honest, all i know is 16" rubber is cheaper and 15" cheaper still!

Well i have 17" Turrinis on mine with 40mm Apex springs, yes the ride is alittle harsh and they did rub alittle but have done the ring and the handling was really good, good turn in and plenty of grip.
No real loss of performance and imo it does look good!
Just feel that should I purchase a set of multispokes, 17" s do look alot better as in your photo.
Some real mixed opinions on here as to whether or not pro's out weigh the con's. Money isn't an issue, tyres the larger wheels etc, just don't wanna make a mistake.

Deffinately more suited is the 17" rim than a 16". Aesthetically pleasing for sure.

What I said in another thread earlier.
I had 17's on, apart from the scraping a bit on full lock, I never noticed much diffference. I think it comes down to personal choice and more importantly how you drive. For normal day to day driving I never noticed a thing, as for losing speed etc etc, I had nothing to compare it against as it came with 17's on. I put 16's on and all I really noticed was no scraping on full lock and none going over speed bumps (my car is 60mm lower). That said you get a lot of responses, saying it messes up your handling etc, only suggestion is to try some 17's if possible and base it on your own opinion. I only took mine off because they needed refurbing, I bought the 16's as a temporary measure. I just never found the time to refurb them, then someone offered to buy them and seen as I am now selling my car in the New Year I sold them.

with only putting the wheels on yetsterday and waking up to -3 conditions!!:dapprove:

Dont think i will feel much difference, as i am only using them on a road and not track. Never drive to the max, need to look after my car, its my only transport to work!!!:approve:

i have 17" wheels and it's not as bad as some people say.

my clio rides on 17's and as i have not been in another clio on smaller wheels its hard to compare. All i will say is that i find my clio is waiting to make me pay for driving round corners to quick. Feels as if its going to loose its ass every time i push it. I would never class my clio as a good handling car and therefore blame the big wheels. That is why im replacing my 17's for 15's as soon as i can.
Can I make a bet that it has crap tyres on it!
Would be good to see a direct comparison between 15s, 16s and 17s on the same good tyres, say Eagles or PE2s. Would settle a few agruements!
