172 + 182 Hubs... same?

  clio 200 F4Rt
are mk2 172, and 182 hubs the same? as in the brake disc offset, the caliper position etc etc?

  cock mobile.
I think the hubs are different, or the bolt spacing is anyway, that's why you see suspension for either the 172 or 182, but won't fit both.

182 none cuped packed supension cars have the same hubs as 172's

The cuped packed 182's have different hubs they are stronger and have bigger hub bolt spacing (60mm vs 58mm on the 172/none Cuped 182's)

ok, basically what i am trying to work out, is if a 4 pot kit for a 182 would fit a 172.

Yep caliper fitments are the same.
However Yozzasport has developed one using standard disks so its not a sole market you'll have.

sure thing, these will use a 2 peice disc, with 4 pot calliper etc.

many thanks for the info.

yeah man my hubs are 54mm and one is off a cup and the other is off a FF 172

WTF? K-tec recons that "the hubs and hole spacings are different on the 172 and Cup models" which i would agree with in principle. oh dear ive got to get a new susp. system soon and i wanna make sure i get the right one.

I thought the cup had a wider track so if you've got two different hubs, wouldn't that mess things up?

Anyone else got a clue what i'm on about?

Sorry yep I made a mistake 172/Cup /182 none cuped packed cars are 54mm

182 with Cup packs/trophys have 60mm hub spacing.

Don't know why I wrote 58mm I've got a172 one here I'd only been measuring a few hours earlier.

Wider track was due to the wheels and camper suspension setup hubs are the same.

So that means baby clios are 52mm
182Cups are 60mm
and all the rest are 54mm

i hope i'm getting somewhere now for my suspension!

1.2 and a cup

Are you sure your 1.2 has 58mm spacing? center of bolts, cos all the listings ive looked at are for 52 or 54 for a 1.2.

What cup? 172 or 182?

Cheers dude

Normal Clios have a random selection a few use 54mm spaced other popular sizes are 52 and 58mm (this if so Mk2 phase 1's)

The Mk2 phase 2 none RS cars ie 1.2 dci etc use 58mm hubs apart from a few early 1.2's

centre of bolts??? did you use an irish vernier or something?

isn't that where you are meant to measure? when you look an enginneering diagram you always measure from the center of the hole cos that's where the drill starts from.

Where are you measuring from? the outsides of the bolt?
