172/182 Wishbone/BallJoint Query

Does the 172/182 wishbone usually have a plate that sits on top of the wishbone itself, over the holes on the balljoint end, that the bolts for the balljoint go through?

Thanks.

yes, valvers williams and R19s should all have them as standard iirc. Reduces the stress concentration. The plate sits on top of the wishbone.

most dont have the plates on no biggy tbh as ball joint will snap in hub before you do any damage to wishbone trust me :D

its not that, my problem was the balljoint bolts through the wishbone kept working themselves loose, even with new bolts + locknuts...
