172, 2 years old and loving it (caution: nice photo content :-) )

That's me been the proud owner of R777 ALY for just over 2 years now from new - gotta say it's been the most enjoyable car I've owned so far by a (fast) country mile. Only a couple of problems have surfaced in the past few months, thankfully all fixed under warranty, but it hasn't dented my enthusiasm for jumping in the car and going for a blast. Which is what I did last night when I was supposed to be heading to the not-so-local Tesco...

I ain't much of a photographer, but I am a little bit proud of some of these photos :approve:

good pictures - car looks clean

Cheers for all the comments :) . I forgot to mention I actually clayed, polished and waxed it yesterday. Not perfect as it was a rush job. It's not always looking as sparkly as that

First few pics were taken in Muiravonside Country Park (near Linlithgow), pics by the bay were at Blackness Castle (5 miles west of South Queensferry), I stopped off briefly enroute to South Queensferry, then took the final pics from South Queensferry itself. And finally got to Tesco just at the top of the A8000...

Cheers for the comments :)

Not sure on the idea of an aerial - this one works fine ;). But I know what you mean, it looks like a r/c car sometimes. And I don't know if I trust all these £5 "brand new" aerials on Ebay, especially the stories I've heard about them arriving without packaging still with fly splats on them...

I'm thinking about fitting a cup splitter, but not sure if it needs it. But it's when I see other clio's with them I change my mind again. Bloody indecisiveness, worse than a woman (no offence).

lol it'll be back on for this weekend for the Cliosport MTB weekend to Dalbeattie - you joining us?

Feck it, it's raining this morning. Ah well, there goes the clean car - doesn't help when I take the long way into work for a blast :)

Monaco Blue - I've only ever seen 1 other 172 on the road in Monaco Blue and it belongs to my fiancee's mum - not as common as these red or silver ones ;). Standard (left) vs lowered 40mm (right):

-40 actually looks nice... u on apex springs ? or ebachi mate?

I'm on Apex -40mm springs only - not sure what to do about dampers yet!

Cheers for the comments. I just got lucky with the sunset at the right time, I've used Muiravonside Country Park for pics before but it was the first time I'd driven down to the coast where most of the pics were taken. Just gotta look for places for pics, they always exist.

Since taking these pics the car's gained a Cup splitter (finally) :D

Oh, and I found out that a local photo place can enlarge my pics from digital up to 20" x 16" for framing an hanging on the wall for £20! Gonna do it for one or two of the sunset pics (although probably the ones without the Clio in 'em if I want them hung anywhere in the house...)

Where were you driving from

Stay in the Falkirk area, was going shopping and ended up at the not-so-local Tesco just off the roundabout at the Forth Road Bridge...

I did spot a 172 parked up in Blackness - think it has a private reg, silver.
