172 2nd service

Just about to pick up my 172. nearly 3 years old. 14.5k on the clock. Been getting ideas on price for its 2nd service. Would you people say 207 is about right, and 38 for its mot from my local renault dealer

when is it 3 years old mate?? i would consider taking it to a local "trustworthy" garage i have found one and get it mot'ed and full service for about £150- £170 - mine is a 2001 mk2 172 and done 30k and running like new!

bout right, i thought £44 was the price for a mot all over but if you got it cheaper fair play.

207 is about dealer prices, should get it cheaper if you shop around

yeah i dont really know of many renault specialists of essex where i live so might just have to stick with the stealer this time around... yeah just about to buy it off my sister in law, very low mileage in excellent condition

Where's it gonna go? - Romford? They do a discount for cs members.
I generally use Darlingtons in Harlow which are quite good but tend to cost a bit more

I tried romford, basildon and chelmsford. basildon worked out the cheapest out the 3 by quite a difference. Might have to become a member then to get some discounts

If you can get to John Pease in Cressing they've always been quite good. Parts department is great and super-helpful and servicing is good as well I believe - I think Little Newms has been there and liked it.

That is good miles for the year.

My 172 is doing well on that fron too.....2002yr model with 14000 on the clock. Still got to get it serviced yearly though and it needs the coolant and brake fluid done in October as it has to be done every 4yrs regardless of milage.

my 03 172 has had its 3rd service and is on 38,000 miles had 4 when I bought it.
