172 and evo vs mini GP

Had a little play with a 172 and a red and White evo from junction 27m1 down the hucknall bypass, anyone on here?
 
With 220 bhp?! Even with TB's that seems a little hard to believe? Is yours stripped?
 
air con delete plus the usual pap taken out... he reckons I pulled a couple car lengths on him at least :/

Was only on a dually and from roughly 40 to an extra naughty at best. He is a bit of an old bell end though
 
Pulled pretty easy on the 172, evo left me for dead which i expected... never heard a car with so much turbo woosh!

I love your technical speak.

Maybe if you fitted those cams and mapped it, it'd be a different story?
 
take it the evo was tuned (they nearly all are)... or fq320+?? believe it or not once rolling a standard gsr or even fq300 shouldnt pull much once rolling...

He'd need :

bigger injectors
17% pulley
Improved head (Stage 3 Thumpner)
1320 Cam
Janspeed manifold with standard cat mod ;)
Mapped

With the above he should stay with an evo with around 300-320bhp, if the evo had anymore it would be bye bye lol

Newman cam sat in the garage, just priced up a set of 550cc's and a Mynes tune but its either that or coilovers... :approve: hmm.
 
Sounds good, I'd have the 550s, Newman and 1320 mynes map

I ran eibachs on mine and they seemed good, if you get coils you need adjustable rear arms and a full allignmemt
