172 Automatic lights

Anyone got any idea if you can permenantly override the headlights coming on automatically? on a mk 2 cliosport, it is very annoying to say the least

I think you do it by;

Turn the ingnition on

twist the lightswitch 3/4 times on and off (dipped Beam)

You will hear a beep and then it is overridden!!!

Failing that, I think it mentions it in the manual.

Yepp turn the ignition on only and dont start the engine and all the dash is illuminated.

Then flick the lights to the on position twice quickly and it will beep to say it has been change from auto to manual or vica versa.

a bird did a poo on the sensor on my windscreen and my clio thought it was permanently night.
