Does anybody know how much it would cost me to get the mk2 172 bumpers,arches and side skirts for my clio??

Black Fox works for Renault, and got the parts for Pretenders 1.2 16v, should be able to givew you a break down of costs

yo james, good call u asked this, coz i wanna know to! even tho i just got my car all bodycoloured lol. oh well!!!

but tis a pain that we cant get them off a broken 172 due to them not coming in our silver!

but i only want the front bumper as the rear one aint too different.

To do a 172 transformation on a 1.2 16v whould cost approx £1060.00 + vat retail.You need rear bumper + insert, n/s arch liner and o/s arch liner. Front bumper, grille, deflector [goes between bumper and rad.], 2 front wings, o/s arch liner x2, n/s liner x2, side skirts x2 [+ fitting kit x2]. Plus you need the blanking covers for where the headlamp washers are normaly which are £45 + vat retail. On top of this you have to add painting + poss. fitting if its not something you could tackle yourself.

So... AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE !! But it will still look good ! Personally Id colour code the Greyish bumpstrips and bumper inserts !! LOT LOT cheaper !

Black Fox I was wondering about the parts for the mk1 172 to go on my mk2 1.2. How much are the bumpers from reno, ive looked on andyspares and they dont seem cheap even on there! I need the front and rear bumpers, wings and sideskirts.

I might just get the wings and front bumper and get the sideskirts and backbumper from prima racing. I saw a pic in the galleries and someone has done this and it looks well mint.

Ive got a credit card with 4k ready to get maxed!

scrap yard!!! hahaha thats a good 1. I have tried every feckin scrap yard in britain just about, and i just get laughed at wen i say wat im lookin for. these parts are gold dust mate, i have only managed to get a rear bumper so far but i have £100 of reno vouchers which i will use to buy the wings so only skirts and a front bumper now, like i said but gold dust!!!

Jonesy, mk1 front end parts will not fit mk 2 as bonnet is totally different.

My bad im confusing you, i thought the first 172 was a mk1 and the new shape 172 is the mk2.

My car is the old shape before the facelift its a mk2 but not the 172 shape mk2 shape, i think???? It a 2001 Y reg late model, just before the new shape came out.

Jonesy, it whould seem that your clio is a clio2 phase 1, facelift models are clio 2 phase 2.

I whould think prices whould be similar for both models.

Ive been looking on the on http://www.eurocarparts.comwww.eurocarparts.com and for my shape mk 2 phase 1 for the 172 kit, they sell

Front bumper - £76.55

Back bumper - £65.50

Grille - £24.95

Oh and incase any wants one bonnet - £59.99

but they dont do sideskirts, wings or the inner arch liners.

Well ive now decided to just go for the front bumper and colour code the rest of the car. Looks like to need to start saving some cash. cheers 4 ur help

I thought If you get the front bumper u need to get the wider wings, then if you get them you need the sideskirts plus the arch liners as your originla ones wont fit.

2 right Jonesy, you can change just the rear bumper on its own, but not the front.

yea what im thinking of doing is leaving the rear bumper as it is and getting the side skirts front bumper and wings from 172. how much would that be?

Front bumper £162.44, front wings £50.60 each, sideskirts £72.00 each.

Plus front grille £176.23. All prices + vat.

Not sure as our dealership hasnt got a body shop and the one we use is crap! Pretender had most of his sprayed at Dawsons in Poole, Dorset.

Big Iain, when you buy the front bumper from renault, the fog surronds and lower grille come with it. All you have to buy extra is the top grille [ price as above ] and either headlamp washer jets, or blanking covers as per 172 cup [approx £45 a pair!! ]. Sideskirts are approx price as above, but Pretender got his from K-tec [ second hand, off of David Kirks 172 ].
