172 Buying help! wot to luk for?

orite guys got the money now to buy my 172. got about £5.5k to spend. just wondering wot sort of things to luk for and luk out for when viewing/test driving one? i know good body work, interior, steering wheel etc. wot else? most of them im looking at have done around 50,000miles if that helps. would be much appreciated. cheers (sorry if its in the wrong thread section)

Cambelt every 5 years or 72k

Full comprehensive service history . Aux belt should have been done at 36k miles . Check the exhaust . I would imagine it's had a new one if its over 3 years old as they tend to rust easily and the back box's drop off .

Also check condition of the brake discs and pads . Spark plugs " should " be good for 72k according to the service intervals , but mine only lasted 30k .

if its a 5yr old car, it MUST HAVE had/be needing a cambelt change (not cheap)
