Not the threaded bolt as that came out fine but the other part (the bit that moves in and out lol) that wont move - hence minimal brake/disc movement at the bottom of the caliper.
Might be a case of brutal strength and some grease...
Arr right that bits cheap I got a whole hub including that bracket for £40 second hand. I think best idea is as you said hammer and grease a new one isn't that much though.
Sounds like its rusted inside . They normally just slide out and are greased inside . Brute for like ya say , then give it a good rub down with some emery cloth and clean up the inside where it slides into then pack with grease .
