172 clio driveshaft

hi i have an 02 172 clio when i put the footdown the whole car wobbles like a buckled rim but its not so im guessin it needs a shaft any 1 help

Could be anything mate, if its a driveshaft it will do it at any speed or when you're turning, try doing a 3 point turn using full lock from side to side whilst the wheels are turning and listen out for any knocking/clicking noises.

A wobble could also come from worn engine mounts especially if you have it flat out and the engine is under a lot of strain it will move a lot more.

If you're stuck for parts give me a shout, got plenty.

could be a bent shaft, put the car on stands and let it run (leave it in neutral so wheels only turn slowly), should be pretty obvious if ones bent,

could also be CV joints, but it would have to be pretty severe to be noticeable in a straight line,

tracking, wheel bearing, wheel weighting, could also be an issue.

how do you know its not a buckled wheel?
