I've got my car booked in for a clutch change next week. Is there anything i should get done at the same while the clutch is out? Apart from a lightened flywheel or uprated clutch as i've decided against these.

Nope stock is the best realy.

just make sure the garage chnage the thrust realease bearing then again only real cheap places wouldn't.

  Lots of Alfas
As above make sure they get the clutch kit and not just a clutch, always good practise to stick a new cable on it too.

Its being done by Ktec and the price is for the clutch kit so I presume this includes the release bearing? I'll ask them to change the cable as well if this is best then.

ITs not a bad idea to chnage it not difficult to diy etc but its nice to have it all done at once.

ktec will do the realease bearing as well only realy cheap places woulnd't.

If you dont mind me asking, how much are they charging you to have the clucth changed?

£399+vat package deal http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_service.asp?id=21

My local Renault dealer wanted £869 all in

get a lightened flywheel aswell :)

I'm tempted but from what I've read most people say its not that great for normal driving. Main issues are being worse at pulling uphill due to losing inertia from the heavier flywheel and although it will rev freer its harder to keep revs up.
