172 Clutch Life?

I was just wondering what the expected lifespan of a 172 clutch is? My car's on 76K now and as I have a bit of spare cash next month I was thinking of having it done. It still seems to bite fine albiet pretty high!

impossible to predict as it all depends on how its been driven. ive changed them on cars with as little as 35k on but my own personally is close to 60k on its original clutch.

Why noy put the cash in a saving account and use it if the clutch ever actually goes?

My Mk2 172's now on 66K and on her first clutch.

Mines on 53k and been on it's new clutch for 20k!!!

My old R5 GT did over 130k on it's original clutch/turbo and headgasket.

Like jay172 said it all depends on how you drive, i do alot of motorway miles in mine.

Couldnt agree more with that if im honest, why replace it if it aint broke.
