172 Cold and Wet Start

Got an annoying problem with my 172 and before i book it into the dealers i thought i would see if anyone on here has had the same problem.
Basically when it is cold wet and damp or raining and i start my car from a stone cold engine it feels as it holds back and then goes and then holds back and goes again. It will do this until the engine has warmed up!
It almost like an old car that has a manual choke which if you leave on once the car has warmed up it begins to splutter and hold back until you push the choke in, also like a car that suffers from damp problems!
Has anyone got any ideas what i can check myself before booking into a dealer or any suggestions what it might be?
Plugs, leads, distributor cap, or sensor problems etc etc??

mine does this but only if give it some when cold so i just wait till its warm

i think nearly all 172's do it, normally it clears if you let it warm up

Mines a 2000 W with 48k on it i dont get this m8 but have just had ECU reset and seems lot smoother than ever
