Just had the computer replaced on my 172. What components does this hold ? Does it contain the ECU or is this separate ?

Depends which computer they replaced. The trip computer and ECU are different things.

Is the trip computer the only one that is referred to as the computer by Renault ?

Probably. Most technicians seem to call the ECU either ECU or Engine Management System. Hard to be 100% sure though.

My 172 just seems to feel better than it was before its extended stay at Renault (3 months). I wondered if the ECU had changed as it may have accounted for it, but it must be the fact I was driving *other* cars for so long.
