Matt Black sells the kits to do the conversion basically you get the whole looms engine box brakes suspension etc from a 172 for £1.5k+vat.
Then you would realy want to chnage the cambelt clutch bushes top mounts wishbones and you'd have to chnage all the ols whihc is £350 or so extra in parts.
The conversion well tplaces will do it for £500~1k loads of garages won't be interested though its only tunners would would want the trouble to prove they could do it Ktec and GDI have done a conversion though.
Ontop of that you would probably want a disk rear axle although drums are finbe so thats £200 or so second hand and £500 for a new one.
You might also want new brakes lines etc so ds2500 pack with lines is £200 extra.
You can do the conversion yourself if you have the tools time efort and a decient garage but ideally you want a 4 post lift.
Personally its not worth doing either buy a 172 or if you want the sleeper look get a 172 and stick 1.2 body work on it.
