Your exclusive should have an individual number on a plaque inside the door sill aswell. It'll be between 1 - 172

Get some pics up mate and we can have a look. I agree with Djw John, I think you have a ph2 172 (maybe cup, not sure about the auto lights etc though), and that it says exclusive on the log book coz of the mistake from Renault when they were registered. Google for pics and you'll see what an exclusive is like, should be scarab green.

What interior does it have? Is it cloth?

Nice car. I agree with Adam, I think someone has also fitted the turinis (not a standard colour) and fitted the splitter (that is a Leon Cupra R splitter, also non standard).

but log book says exclusive and when you put reg in to get insured its a exclusive

It's not an exclusive. V5's are a hit or miss. Back when the 200 first came out some people were getting them back with 197 on them when they were infact a 200.

It's had a front ender at some point I'd say and been repaired on the cheap. Hard to say a value without seeing the repair work or know if its a cat c/d. More than £50 though!

it isnt a cat c or a cat d i had a good look for damage before i got it and ther are no signs of any repair work , i have my own salvage and parts business so always look for previous damage

Non sport grill, painted washer blanks and no black inserts on the front bumper. Looks like its had a front ender, might be why it has xenons too.

no offense, but you can't have looked very hard, or had nothing to compare it to.
It was registered cat D 18/9/2004, had 10 owners from new.
never been VIC checked, although I don't think a D needs to be.

Also, the side strips look odd, or is the drivers door open?

It has xenons because its a phase2 172.. they all have xenons. Its not a 172 cup.

Its a phase 2 172 thats had either a cup bumper, or washer blanks fitted.

  172 Cup
Not to be harsh Clio172 2002, but have you actually read the posts earlier in the thread? The Exclusive is completely different, only came in Scarab green. It's been said numerous times that there was an error made by Renault with the registration and log books.

Did you notice this post either?

It's a RenaultSport Clio 172.

It's NOT a 172cup.
It's NOT a 172 exclusive.

It's a CAT D as someone else as mentioned.

Should be clear enough now

  172 exclusive no 172
Only Scarab Green , Grey Leather interior, N172 of 172 :) BBS RIMS only on this model

Clearly not. I won't waste anymore time giving him advice that is clearly pointless.

i was actually just saying that while i was in Renault buying some new shocks , that i asked them about the miss print at which point they put my vin number in ther computer and it came back as a rs10 something which yes is most probably just a normal 172 . i was just trying to say what Renault said to me . the only waste is me paying for club membership that i thought would be alot better then the saxo forums but it just the same .

I don't think that's very fair. People were very gently trying to point out your error to begin with. It's understandable...even Renault made the same mistake. For some reason though, you've just refused to listen to people who have spent years working with/owning these cars when they were only trying to help.

Is this the old reliant robin, or robin reliant debate? Cos it really winds me up when people say robin reliant lol
