172 cup alternator???

Bought off the bay for £40 what was supposed to be a 172 cup alternator,

part no is 7700105333 which I can only see listed as a kangoo 1.9D alternator???

Will this work to delete the A/C off a ph1 172?

I am pretty sure they are the same fitment as the 172 cup?

I remember seeing people use the kangoo one mate but not sure on the engine model they take it from as they had a 1.5DCI too!

We have managed to find a Laguna with the alternator and bracket for £30. The only thing is, can we change the alternator with out removing the power steering pump and therefor the steering rack? as we dont yet have a manual/electric rack yet? :S
