172 cup gearbox top up????

Please can somewhere advise where the top up area on a 172 cup gearbox is please???

its a small plsatic plug on the front of the box, just unscrews, top up until it drips out

will need to remove the airbox for good visibility

Yeah deffo remove the airbox, it saves a lot of hassle.

why do you need to top it up.

you need to undothe plastic wing nut on the front of the box, then fill it..once the oil reaches the bottom of the open hole..stop filling...replace wing nut

Thanks everyone, oil checked and toped up, i dont believe in boxes that dont need to be checked or topped up im old fashioned, was little low with no sign of leakage. Luckily got a bmc so easy to remove.
