172 Cup Gearbox

  Nissan 200sx
Hi, i was wondering if you's could tell me whether or not the 172 cup has a shorter final drive than the standard 172, i am interested in selling my cup for a standard 172 as i find that cruising on the motorway requires me to be up around 3500-4000 which makes it slightly uncomfortable

Just to add to this mate, went out in my 182 earlier and thought i'd see what RPM it does 70mph at and found it to be exactly 3250rpm. Mine is a 182ff not a cup if that helps.

Ph1 ratios are longer than the ph2, albeit not by that much. 172 and 172 Cup ratios are identical.

TBH... you bought the worng car.
