172 cup hesitating at around 6k rpm

Ive noticed a few times recently that my cup hesitates slightly when acccelerating between 5-7k rpm, It is not always at the same revs, and doesnt always do it.

Sometimes you can feel it hesitate at say 5750 rpm and again at 6250.

It is only for a very short time, but is annoying me!

Any ideas what this could be??

Yes the engine is fully warm, I have never thrashed it until it is. It has done 56k. had no problems before apart from rear shocks + usuall rattles!

Mine does it *occasionally* before it has warmed up, like it's not breathing right, but soon straightens intself out when warm

coil pack could be a problem if its on 56k
