172 Cup Shocks

Hi Could anyone confirm the part numbers for 172 cup shock? are the rears the same as the std ones?

also what is the difference between 172 cup rear shocks and 182 cup rear shocks?

Just want to check I have been sent the right shocks from Wolverhampton Renault as I have 172 but want to upgrade to cup shocks. But from what I can find the cup and non cup rears have the same part number ?

You order 182 cup shocks for the rear on a 172 cup. If you dig deep enough you can find a post about the 172 cup rears having a different part number on Renaults old parts system. For some reason the new parts system reverted to the standard 172 rear part No. I had 172 rears on mine so I swapped to 182 Cup and the car handled much better. 172 rears seemed noticeably mis-matched with 172 Cup fronts.

182 cup front shocks - 8200681109
182 cup rear shocks - 8200681125

172 std dampers are not the same as 172 cup dampers.

172 cup rear dampers and 182 cup rear dampers are the same!
172 cup front dampers and 182 cup dampers are internally the same, however have diff part numbers due to the hub bolt spacing being different.
54mm - 172 cup
60mm - 182 cup

From what I can remember the cup dampers are stiffer dampers (20% front, 10% rear) roughly
