172 Cup v Ferrari F430 Spider Video...

  Fiat Coupe 20v turbo
hahaha love it, the clios are soo good on track really surprise a lot of exotic drivers....experienced track driver helps too!

It certainly wasn't driven badly, but the fezza caught the clio just before the twisties so couldn't pull out much of a gap, then the driver was poo on the brakes and didn't appear to really give it the beans out of most of the bends.

Of course the ferrari driver was trying lol you don't drive a trackday at 5/10ths...he just did'nt have the same skill/knowledge of his car/the track as Mark does.

lol better ban trackdays as it's none of it's a fair comparison....the car & driver as a package dictates their pace around the circuit there is no fair/unfair comparison.

god vid, to be fair it looked like the ferarri driver was a newbie getting tuition as you can see the passenger waving his arms about a bit. You can see that as soon as the fezz driver does actually put any power down on the bends it tears away. Good pub amo though get it downloaded to you mobile ;)

If it had been a tight track like Anglesey I doubt he would have got away from Mark at all.....obviously 480bhp is something that is hard to ignore lol

Ha ha ha...predictable responses LMAO

He was having instruction as jonnyboy picked up, so his lines were pretty much spot on. But he did lack confidence on the brakes.

For the first trackday in ages I was actually on normal road tyres - Michelin Exalto's - never tried them before, and they're alright. Feel good on track, but they just fall apart under duress.

I got some footage of an old skool air-cooled 911 too, that was a good session :)

Yep, engine has an ITG foam panel filter in original airbox, an R-sport ECU which gives an extra 500 rpm to play with, a Yozzasport decat, and K-tec stealth catback exhaust.

Brakes are braided lines, Brembo HC discs, Pagid Blue pads, and Castrol SRF brake fluid.

Suspension is 100% standard, tyres Michelin PE2 Exaltos.

And it's covered almost 73,000 miles :) they definitely get quicker with more miles.

  Turbos.
Your dampers must be knackered!

Don't suppose the F340 driver was a fairly old man? When they first came out a guy with one was at Silverstone, he absolutely caned it down the pitlane to show off...got owned by everyone in a couple of laps, then went home!

I've had new dampers all round in the last 10k since the rears sprung a leak, and the fronts felt like they were past their best. It's still nice and tight/controlled even after all these miles.

The F430 owener was, how shall I say, umm, silver-haired. Definitely wasn't bigging himself up in the paddock, was very down to earth.

More or less the same as mine apart from the R-sport and mine's 10ft lower ;)

They definately get better with miles, I'm on 88,000 now:)

Get coilovers Mark and you'll be a lot quicker. You knowsit.
