172 gearbox or clutch problem

hi

i need some advise on weather i need a new clutch or gearbox on my 172

theres a slight crunch in 3rd gear but only on the down change, changing up through the gears the box in mint no crunches etc.

i recently fitted a powerflex dogbone mount as i thought this maybe the cause of my problems but unfortunally this has not cured it.

any help and advise would be much appreaciated.
